Saturday, 22 June – Depart USA Sunday, 23 June- Going up into the Land
- Arrive in Israel to be met and assisted by your ITW representative (today’s program depends on arrival time).
- Travel north to Caesarea on Israel’s Mediterranean coast.
- Shekhiyanu-Welcome ceremony in Caesarea.
- Welcome dinner at a restaurant in Caesarea National Park.
- Continue to hotel in the Sea of Galilee region.
- Check-in to the N o Ginosar Hotel on Kibbutz Ginosar by the Sea of Galilee.
- Overnight: Ginosar
Monday, 24 June – Mystics, Geopolitics and Israel’s Finest
- Tour of the Old City of Acco: Visit the Underground Prisoners Museum in
- Acco Prison, where the British held and even executed Jewish underground fighters. Adaring escape from thisprison is featured in thefilm Exodus. Then venture beneath the streets of Old Accot o exploret h e Crusader Knights Halls.
- Descend by cable car to explore the Grottos of Rosh Hanikra- Beautiful seacaves formed byt h e forces of wind and water.
- Lunch on own
- Meet young Israeli soldiers defending Israel’s northern border near Kibbutz Malkiya and plant a tree to help renew its orchard.
- Return to hotel to swim in the Sea of Galilee at the hotels’s private beach.
- Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, followed by a lakeside dinner at Deck’s Restaurant in Tiberias.
- Overnight: Ginosar
Tuesday, 25 June – The Strategic Golan Heights
- Jeep tour in the Golan Heights for a perspective on Israel’s complex geopolitics, as we look down at Israel from bunkers the way the Syrian army once did and then look out at Syria from the peak of strategic Mt. Bental.
- Lunch on own.
- Chocolate making workshop at the De Karina Chocolate Factory.
- The group can split between parents and children for the following two tasting activities located next teach other on Kibbutz Ein Zivan.

- Tour and tasting at the boutique Pelter Winery on nearby Kibbutz Ein Zivan
- Raft or Kayak down the Jordan River – Great way to cool off on a h o tdav

Wednesday, 26 June – Across Israel: A Multicultural Jewish Society
- Visit the ancient synagogue at Hamat Tiberias and ponder why its 1,500 year old mosaic floor features a wheel of the zodiac.
- Travel south through the Jordan Valley.
- Visit Qasr El Yahud -The Jordan River Baptismal site, traditionally associated with where the Children of Israel crossed the Jordan and where Eliah ascended to heaven in a chariot of fire.
- Lunch on own
- Continue south passing Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found •
- Walk in teh i n Gedi Nature Reserve with the opportunity to swim in waterfalls and hear how David hid there from Kings Saul.
- Check in to the Herbert Samuel Hotel at the Dead Sea.

Thursday, 27 June- Masada and the DeadSea: Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
- Ascend Masada by cable car to tour the ruins of Herod’s palace and the last outpost of Jewish independence. Discussion: Which Jewish Legacy- Masada or Yavne? Sunrise Bat Mitzvah cermony on top of Masada.
- Swim in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, at the hotel’s beach. The hotel also has a fresh water pool.
- Can we get 1PM check out at no additional cost Camel rides, Bedouin hospitality and lunch at Kfar Hanokdim. Travel to Tel Aviv.
- Tour Old Jaffa, the ancient port city once known as Zion Gate from which Jonah tried to flee and where Solomon brought the Cedars of Lebanon ont h e way to Jerusalem.

Friday, 28 June – The Hebrew City and the Jewish State
- Change to ANU ofthe jewish People Stop at Rabin Square, where late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated to hear about that traumatic event in Israeli history.
- Hear about the establishment of Tel Aviv, the first Hebrew city in 2,000 years at the Founders’ Monument on Rothschild Boulevard and see the Bauhaus architecture for which central Tel Aviv was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Free time for lunch and to explore the Nachalat Binyamin Crafts Fair. While there, checkout the nearby Carmel Market and try great street food. Then have a look at bohemian Sheinkin Street – All Three of these Tel Aviv icons meet at the “Magen David Junction”.
- Free time to swim in the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy beachside promenade. Free time to relax and prepare for Shabbat.

Saturday/Shabbat, 29 June – And on the Seventh Day… in Jerusalem

- Visit the “Aliyah Bet” Memorial in London Square to hear the story of the illegal immigration operations which rescued Jewish refugees before the founding of the State of Israel.
- Free time to swim, explore on your own and watch Tel Aviv’s residents folkdance, play raquetball, walk the promenade and enjoy Shabbat afternoon by the sea.

Sunday, 30 June – The Old City of Jerusalem: An Ancient Jewish Legacy
- Travel to Jerusalem.
- Look out at the Old City o fJerusalem and Temple Mount from the top of the Mount of Olives.
- Explore the City of David using the Bible and archaeology to make Jerusalem’s stones tell the story of the city’s ancient past. Wade through Hezekiah’s Tunnel- A still flowing ancient water system that saved the city of Jerusalem 2,700 years ago (dry option available).
- Discover the archaeological story of the Western Wall and episodes from rabbinic texts while standing where Jewish pilgrims walked 2,000 years ago at Robinson’s Arch and the Southern Wall Excavations.
- Visit traditional prayer area of the Western Wall.
- Tour of the Jewish Quarter including the Herodian Mansions, Cardo, Hezekiah’s Broad Wall and Rooftops followed by free time to shop and explore on own.

Monday, 1 July – Holocaust, Remembrance and Continuity
- Guided tour of Yad Vashem Israel’s national Holocaust memorial and museum, including the Historical Museum and Children’s Memorial. (Children under age 10 are not permitted in Yad Vashem’s historical museum).
- Alternate program for younger children: Visit Jerusalem’s Biblical Zoo, where vou’ll see animalswhich lived in Israel during biblical times. (Children must be accompanied by an adult. Zoo visit not included in the tour price).
- Lunch at Yad Vashem Cafeteria
- Meaningful visit to Mt HerzlCemetery to discover chapters in the history of Israel while visiting the graves of Yitzhak Rabin, Shion Peres, Golda Meir, Theodore Herzl and Hannah Senesch.

Tuesday, 2 July – Digging Up the Past: An Underground Adventure
- Travel to Beit Guvrin in theJudean Lowlands, crossing enroute the biblical Elah Valley, where David and Goliath fought.
- Dig up Israel’s past by participating in a hands on archaeological excavation with Digfor aDayin Beit Guvrin National Park.
- Packed lunch
- Visit the Avshalom Stalactite Cave in the Judean Hills.
- Return to Jerusalem.

Wednesday, 3 July – Wrapping Up and Departure
- Reception at Jewish Agency and World Zionist Organization headquarters See the Knesset Menorah, a remarkable bronze sculpture in front of Israel’s parliament building, the Knesset, depicting scenesfrom the Bible and modern Jewish history.
- Visit the Israel Museum to see the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Model of Jerusalem in the first century.
