Thursday, February 7, 2019 – Havana
Early morning departure American Airlines from DCA – AA 1178V DCA – MIA 6:10AM – 9:04AM I AA 2705V MIA – HAV 10:31AM – 11:50AM. Arrival in Havana where we will meet our guide and bus driver who will be traveling with us during our stay in Cuba. (Box lunch waiting on the bus) Tour of a cigar factory. Havana is the birthplace of premium cigars. Touring a Cuban cigar factory is a trip back in time. See and hear the story of Revolution Square. Check into hotel. Welcome dinner at Paladar Le Ateliere. Friday, February 8, 2019 – Havana
After breakfast Tour Finca Vigia (Hemingway's home) located in the outskirts of the city. Lunch at Paladar II Divinio. Visit the Patronado, Beth Shalom Synagogue. Meet with Adela Dworin, Vice President of Casa de la Comunidad Hebrea de Cuba and learn about the history of Judaism in Cuba. Visit the pharmacy – speak about the challenges helping the Jewish and surrounding community. Return to hotel to rest and prepare for Shabbat. 6:00PM Shabbat Services at the Patronado, Beth Shalom. Kiddush with Jewish community. Shabbat Dinner at hotel or Paladar TBA. Overnight: Melia Cohiba
Saturday, February 9, 2019 – Havana
Breakfast at hotel. Optional morning Shabbat services at the Patronado Beth Shalom or Sephardic Synagogue, bus available. Shabbat Lunch at hotel or Paladar. Free day to explore the city, interact with residents to learn about their daily lives or relax at the hotel. Havdalah with Rabbi Weinblatt. Dinner at Paladar Eclectico. 10:00PM Buena Vista Social Club Concert where Cuban stars of the music world perform in a fun filled evening of music and dance (additional cost: $50.00) Overnight: Melia Cohiba
Sunday, February 10, 2019 – Havana
After breakfast, we will head to the Fortress that guards the Harbor and learn its history. Walking tour of Old Havana ,Habana Vieja, a UNESCO site that has a totally unique atmosphere with its colorful architecture and old cars squeezing past the little bars on every street. Lunch Paladar Dona Eutimia. Visit the Sephardic Synagogue and meet with President Mayra Levi, tour of the Holocaust Musemn on site. Visit the Guanabacoa Cemetery and Holocaust memorial. Shop at Almacenes de Deposito San Jose, the huge Cuban arts and crafts pavilion on the port. If time permits, enjoy a private guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts by an art history expert. National ballet performance. (additional fee) Take a Classic Car cruise to our farewell dinner at Paladar L'Chansonnier. Overnight: Melia Cohiba
