  • Arrive in Israel to be met and assisted at Ben Gurion International Airport by your ITC representative.

  • Visit the "Aliyah Bet" Memorial in London Square to hear the story of the illegal immigration operations which rescued Jewish refugees before the founding of the State of Israel.

Friday, 29 June

The Hebrew City and the Jewish State
  • Mark Israel's 70th birthday at Independence Hall by reliving David Ben Gurion's emotional declaration of the new State of Israel.
  • Hear about the establishment of Tel Aviv, the first Hebrew city in 2,000 years, at the Founders Monument. Stroll down Rothschild Boulevard to view the Bauhaus architecture for which central Tel Aviv was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Lunch on your own and free time to explore the Nahalat Binyamin crafts fair. While there checkout the nearby Carmel Market and bohemian Sheinkin Street.
  • Travel to Rehovot for a guided tour of the Ayalon Institute – an underground bullet factory used by Jewish forces before the founding of the State of Israel.
  • Friday night services the Tel Aviv Port – Beit Tefilah Yisraeli
  • Shabbat dinner at the Kitchen Market (please reserve entire upstairs side room with the bar for the group

Ramle and Kibbutz Gezer
  • Spend the day in Ramle and Kibbutz Gezer (To be arranged by Rabbi Nemitoff, paid by ITC).
  • Creative Shabbat service led by Rabbi Nemitoff at B’nai Jehudah’s sister congregation, Birkat Shalom, located in Kibbutz Gezer
  • Introduction to Kibbutz life, Ramle, and Reform Judaism in Israel by Rabbi Miri Gold and David Leichman.
  • Lunch at Samir’s Restaurant in colorful Ramle (To be arranged by rabbi Nemitoff, included in cost)
  • Back to Kibbutz Gezer for a Shabbat afternoon treat: Ice Cream Tasting with David Leichman  (included in cost)
  • Return to Tel Aviv for some Shabbat afternoon rest and relaxation by the pool or the sea

The Galilee
  • Travel to Israel’s north
  • Take part in the mitzvah of "leket" as you volunteer harvesting crops to be distributed to Israel's neediest people.
  • Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and art galleries of the mystical city of Tzefat
  • Travel down the Jordan River on a kayak (age 6 and over)
  • Proceed to Lake Kinnert for hotel check-in and dinner

Monday, 2 July

The Golan Heights and Jordan River Valley
  • Ascend the Golan Heights and stop to "look down at Israel" the way the Syrian army once did.
  • Ascend to the peak of Har Bental, where you can enter army bunkers and take in a panoramic view at the crossroads of three countries; discuss the significance of the Golan Height in today’s geo-political reality
  • Bid farewell to the Galilee at the picturesque Kinneret Cemetery; read the moving poetry of the pioneer, Rachel the Poetess, and sing the songs of Naomi Shemer, first lady of Israeli music.
  • Travel south along Israel’s border with Jordan to the Dead Sea Region.
  • Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Ein Gedi Nature Reserve to the waterfall and hear “on site” the Bible story of David hiding there from King Saul.

  • Visit the Israel Museum to tour of the new Shrine of the Book and the Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period

Jerusalem: An Ancient Jewish Legacy
  • Explore the City of David using the Bible and archaeology to make Jerusalem's stones tell the story of the city's ancient past.  Wade through Hezekiah's Tunnel – A still flowing ancient water system that saved the city of Jerusalem 2,700 years ago (dry option available).
  • Lunch on own
  • Tour of Jewish Quarter including the Herodian Mansions, Cardo, Broad Wall and Rooftops followed by free time to shop and explore on own.
  • Visit Susan's House – A unique workshop and community center that helps at-risk youth to find their place in society by engaging them in creative arts.

Thursday, 5 July

Peoplehood: From Generation to Another
  • Take part in a moving B'nai Mitzvah service, led by Rabbi Nemitoff at the Southern Steps.
  • Discover the archaeological story of the Western Wall and episodes of Jewish life 2,000 years ago at the Southern Wall Excavations and Robinson's Arch.  Then learn more about the ancient Jerusalem Temple at the Davidson Center.
  • In the Kotel Tunnels walk alongside the massive foundation stones of the Western Wall.
  • Tour of Yad Vashem - Israel's national Holocaust memorial and museum, including the Holocaust History Museum and Children’s Memorial. (Children under age 10 are not permitted in Yad Vashem's Holocaust History Museum).
  • Alternative for younger children:  Ecology workshop at Jerusalem Bird Conservatory, and see birds ringed to be tracked by conservationists (accompanied by adult/s; not included in tour price).
  • Scavenger Hunt in colorful, bustling Machaneh Yehuda (Rabbi Nemitoff’s activity).
  • Encounter with the Jerusalem Village, a unique project seeking to strengthen young Israeli adults bonds Jerusalem and cultivate a pluralistic Jewish life in the city.

Digging Israel
  • Travel to Judean Lowlands passing en route the Elah Valley, where David and Goliath fought.
  • Engage in real hands on archaeological excavation unearthing Israel's past with Dig for A Day in a cave in Beit Guvrin National Park.
  • Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat.
  • Friday night services at the Kotel (bus needed one way).

Those Who Made a Difference
  • Tour of the Shekel's Vocational Training Center for persons with disabilities.   SHEKEL- Community Services for People with Special Needs is Israel's leading organization for integrating people with special needs in the community.
  • Participate in a mitzvah as we tour Hadassah Hospital and distribute gifts to pediatric cancer patients (Children under the age of 16, won't be allowed to visit some areas).
  • Meaningful visit to Mt Herzl Cemetery to discover chapters in the history of Israel at the graves of Yitzhak Rabin, Golda Meir, Theodor Herzl and Hannah Senesch.
  • Afternoon free to explore on own and get in last minute shopping.
  • Late check out
  • Farewell dinner at Olive and Fish Restaurant
  • Transfer to the airport
