Coming Home - Afternoon arrival in Israel to be met and assisted by your ITC representative (today’s program depends on arrival time). Tour the alleys of Old Jaffa, the ancient port city once known as the Gate of Zion. Look out from ancient Tel Jaffa and hear about the vision for founding of Tel Aviv. Shehekhiyanu ceremony to commemorate our arrival in Israel from Poland. Time permitting: Tour historic "Little Tel Aviv" to discover the quaint Neve Tzeddek neighbourhood that gave birth to the "first Hebrew city in 2,000 years". Tuesday, 17 April

The Hebrew City and the Jewish State (Erev Yom Hazikaron) - Travel to Rehovot for a guided tour of the Ayalon Institute – a clandestine bullet factory used by the Jewish underground before the founding of the State of Israel. Visit Independence Hall to relive David Ben Gurion declaring the new State of Israel and commemorate 70 years of Israeli independence. Hear about the establishment of Tel Aviv standing at the Founders' Monument on Rothschild Boulevard and see the Bauhaus architecture for which central Tel Aviv was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch on your own and free time to explore the Nachalat Binyamin crafts fair. While there checkout the nearby Carmel Market and bohemian Sheinkin Street – All three of these Tel Aviv icons meet at the "Magen David Junction". Free time to swim in the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy beachside Promenade. Dinner at hotel (Restaurants are closed on Erev Yom Hazikaron). Memorial Day: The Silver Platter - Yom Hazikaron – Memorial Day for Israel's Fallen Soldiers) Jeep Tour in the footsteps of the War of Indepence in the Jerusalem Corridor, including Bab El Wad and the Burma Road. Attend a memorial service in the Palmach Cemetery at Kiryat Anavim and stand in solemn memory with Israel's fallen soldiers as sirens sound throughout the country. Packed lunch (most eateries are closed until late in the day on Yom Hazikaron). Multimedia tour of the new Six Day War Heritage Museum at Ammunition Hill, the site of the fiercest battle in the Six Day War. Meaningful visit to the Mt. Herzl Military Cemetery to discover chapters in the history of Israel while visiting the graves of our fallen soldiers, among them Yoni Netanyahu, Mike Levin and Hannah Senesh. Independence Day in the Rebuilt Jewish Quarter - Celebratory Yom Ha'atzmaut Shacharit service at the Masorati Kotel. Discover the archaeological story of the Western Wall and episodes from rabbinic texts while standing where Jewish pilgrims walked 2,000 years ago at Robinson's Arch and the Southern Wall Excavations. Discussion about the Masorati Kotel and the Women of the Wall movement. Tour of Jewish Quarter including the Cardo, Broad Wall and Rooftops followed by free time to shop and explore on own. Afternoon picnic lunch – A Yom Ha'atzmaut tradition. Free time to relax and enjoy hotel pool. Farewell dinner at Olive and Fish Restaurant. Overnight: Prima Kings Hotel, Jerusalem

Krakow: The Rama, Oskar Schindler and a Reborn Jewish Community - Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport Fly from Tel Aviv to Krakow. Arrival in Krakow (today’s program depends on arrival time). Tour of Kazmierez – Krakow's former Jewish Quarter, including Rama Synagogue and cemetery, Isaac Synagogue and Tempel Synagogue. Kosher packed lunch. Visit Apothecary in Krakow Ghetto, where local pharmacist rescued Jews. Oskar Schindler's Enamel factory. See Memorial in Plaschow Concentration Camp (the labor camp where "Schindler's Jews" were held. Hotel check-in. Shabbat services with local Jewish community, Shabbat dinner at JCC.
