Friday, 22 May – When You Come into the Land

Early morning arrival at Ben Gurion Airport to be met and assisted by your ITC representative.
  • Tour Old Jaffa, the charming ancient port city once known as Zion Gate from which Jonah tried to flee and where Solomon brought the Cedars of Lebanon on his way to build the Temple in Jerusalem.  Hear about Peter’s vision in Jaffa and its deep impact of on Jewish-Christian relations and the Masonic Legend of the Apron.
  • Welcome ceremony on top of Tel Jaffa overlooking modern Tel Aviv.
  • Hear about the establishment of Tel Aviv standing at the Founders' Monument, then Stroll down Rothschild Boulevard to see the Bauhaus architecture for which central Tel Aviv was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Visit the new Israel Innovation Center, located in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, to learn through its interactive exhibit about new advancements by Israeli Start-Ups in fields such as technology, communications, medicine, security, aero-space and more.
  • Lunch on your own and free time to explore the Nachalat Binyamin Crafts Fair. While there, checkout the nearby Carmel Market and bohemian Sheinkin Street All Three of these Tel Aviv icons meet at the "Magen David Junction".
  • Check-in to the Dan Panorama Hotel on Tel Aviv's Mediterranean Coast.

Saturday, 23 May – Desert Adventure: Across the Negev to Eilat on the Red Sea

  • Early departure to the Negev Desert Highlands (approx. 2hours).
  • Enjoy a camel ride and Bedouin hospitality.
  • Travel to Eilat on the Shores of the Red Sea.
  • Descend into a Red Sea coral reef at Eilat's Underwater Observatory where you look out the window at the surrounding marine life. Continue exploring Eilat's remarkable undersea world at the observatory's aquarium.
  • Check in to the Dan Panorama Hotel in Eilat.

Sunday, 24 May – Day at Leisure in Eilat (Jewish holiday of Shavuot starts this evening)

  • Swim, snorkel and enjoy the clear waters of the Red Sea or try out the hotel pool

Optional Petra Excursion

    • Early departure for Petra.
    • Enter Jordan at the Arava Crossing and travel to Petra by bus (approx. 2.5 hours).
    • Tour Petra - The ruins of the amazing red sandstone city carved out of the bedrock by the ancient Nabateans, the "Lords of the Desert", including its Treasury ("Khaznieh"), Roman theatre, tombs, impressive caves and natural rock formations. Buffet lunch included.
    • Return to Eilat.

Monday, 25 May – Dead Sea Region

  • Set out early through the Arava Valley to the Dead Sea region.
  • Ascend Masada by cable car. Tour the ruins of King Herod’s mountain top palace and last outpost of Jewish independence.
  • OptionBar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony at Robinson’s Arch area of Western Wall.
  • Swim in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, at a local resort.  The resort also has a fresh water pool and spa facilities.  Massage and spa treatments available by prior reservation at own expense.
  • Lunch at Dead Sea resort.
  • Early departure to travel to Jerusalem.
  • Look out over the Old City of Jerusalem and Temple Mount from Mt. of Olives.
  • Check in to the Dan Hotel in Jerusalem.

Tuesday, 26 May – Ascending to Jerusalem

  • Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and the Davidson Center to learn more about the remarkable archaeological discoveries regarding the ancient Temple in Jerusalem.
  • Visit the traditional prayer area of Western Wall – Judaism’s holiest site.
  • Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent his last night of freedom and see its amazing ancient olive trees.
  • Lunch on own
  • At Zedekiah’s Cave (Solomon’s Quarries), where the first Masonic Lodge in the Holy Land, the Royal Solomon Mother Lodge No. 293, met on May 7, 1873
  • Masonic meeting the Lodge of the Holy City followed by dinner at the hotel, to be joined by Jerusalem brethren and ladies/our children.

Wednesday, 27 May – Jerusalem Then and Now

  • Early morning: Opportunity to ascend the Temple Mount (optional, and subject to availability).
  • Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher
  • Visit the Jewish Quarter and Christian Quarter and enjoy some free time for browsing in the colorful Arab Market.
  • Lunch on own
  • Guided tour of Yad Vashem Israel's national Holocaust memorial and museum, including the Holocaust History Museum and Children’s Memorial. (Children under age 10 are not permitted in Yad Vashem's historical museum).
  • Alternative for younger children: Visit Jerusalem's Biblical Zoo, where you'll see animals which lived in Israel during biblical times. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Zoo visit not included in the tour price).
  • Dinner on own in Jerusalem's Mamilla Quarter.
  • Watch the Night Spectacular – Sound and light show at the Tower of David.

Thursday, 28 May – Layers of History

  • Depart for northern Israel.
  • Visit the ruins of Caesarea, where Peter accepted Cornelius as the first gentile convert to Christianity, including its Roman Theater, Amphitheater, Hippodrome and Promontory Palace. Then hear the story of paratrooper Hanna Senesh and her poem Walking to Caesarea, better known as the song Eli, Eli.
  • Travel to Acco.
  • Enjoy lunch at Crusader restaurant in the Knights Halls in Acco to be joined by some brethren from the renowned Acco Lodge.
  • Tour Accos the vast underground Crusader Knights Halls Fortress and look out across Haifa Bay from its high walls which withstood Napolean.
  • Late afternoon boat ride in a traditional wooden boat on the Sea of Galilee
  • Check in to the Nof Ginosar Hotel on Kibbutz Ginosar by the Sea of Galilee.

Friday, 29 May – Beatitudes, Mystical Tzfat, Rafting, the Strategic Golan Heights

  • Tour Christian holy sites around the Sea of Galilee:
  • Capernaum - Where Jesus began his Ministry in the Galilee
  • Drive by Tabgha, traditional site of the Multiplication of the Fish and the Loaves.
  • Visit the of the Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount.
  • Explore mystical Tzfat, cradle of Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism) in the 16th century.  Visit its old synagogues and picturesque alleyways.
  • Raft down the Jordan River – Great way to cool off on a hot day.
  • Tour of the Golan Heights for a special perspective on Israel's complex geopolitics as we “look down” at Israel from former Syrian bunkers and then look out at the border region from strategic Bental.

Saturday, 30 May – From Sea to Sea

  • Visit to the Yardenit Baptismal Site on the Jordan River - personal baptism opportunity available.
  • Travel through the Galilee to Nazareth, Jesus' hometown, to visit to the Basilica of the Annunciation.

  • Explore Tel Megiddo, including its Israelite (Iron Age) Gates, cultic site, stables and fascinating ancient water system. Megiddo served as a regional capital for both Solomon and Ahab.  It is associated with Armageddon from the Book of Revelations.  Tel Megiddo served as the model for Tel Makor in James Michener’s book The Source.
