Thursday, 25 December - The Road to Jerusalem
4th Day of Hanukkah - Arrival in Israel at Ben Gurion Airport, to be met and assisted by your ITC representative. Opening ceremony and tree planting at a JNF forest. Plant a tree as a family in honor or in memory of a loved one. At the Latrun IDF Armored Corps center, review (or climb on) the tanks and learn about battles fought there for the road to Jerusalem. Ascent to Jerusalem. Gaze upon the Temple Mount from the Tayelet, as did Abraham when he prepared to sacrifice Isaac; take in the breathtaking view. We light the Hanukkah candles together overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem Hotel check-in Welcome dinner at the hotel

Friday, 26 December - Erev Shabbat 5th Day of Hanukkah
Track A: Masada and the Dead Sea (cable car) Early morning departure for Masada to tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma that faced its Jewish inhabitants during Roman times (cable car both directions) Spend the remainder of today at a Dead Sea resort hotel, enjoying its spa facilities, lunch, and the amazing Dead Sea. Return to Jerusalem. Track B: Masada and the Dead Sea (Snake Path) Track C: Those Who Made a Difference. For Everyone: Prepare for Shabbat. Hanukkah and Shabbat candle lighting at the hotel Kabbalat Shabbat at Robinson's Arch; walk back to the hotel. Shabbat dinner at the hotel

6th Day of Hanukkah; I Rosh Hodesh Tevet Shabbat tefillot at a synagogue of your choice (suggestions, directions to be provided. Sumptuous Shabbat lunch buffet at the hotel. Choice of Shabbat walking tours (a different one to be offered by each guide, e.g. Nahlaot neighborhood, Ketef Hinom, Old City) Havdalah and lighting Hanukkah candles with your rabbi. Free evening to take in Jerusalem night life on the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall or in the German Colony

7th Day of Hanukkah; II Rosh Hodesh Tevet Everybody Together: Take part in a moving Bar/Bat Mitzvah service at Robinson's Arch. Track A: Jerusalem Throughout the Ages. View from the Tayelet (Promenade): 3000 years of Jerusalem history at a glance. Visit the Holyland Model at the Israel Museum for an overview of all you will see and do in the ancient city of Jerusalem followed by a tour of the New Shrine of the Book Explore the wonderful fortress that houses the Jerusalem Museum at the Tower of David for a rich overview of the history of Jerusalem throughout the ages. In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive foundation stones Free time for shopping in the Jewish Quarter, including the Cardo. Track A: Tel Aviv - Foundations of the Modern State Travel to the Tel Aviv Region - Explore the alleyways, seaside views, and market stalls of Old Jaffa, once the gateway to Eretz Yisrael. At Independence Hall, Palmach Museum, Ayalon Institute. Nachalat Binyamin Track B: Tikkun Olam and Digging Israel. Visit Lifeline for the Old, At the "Dig for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, have a hands-on experience of archeology as you uncover actual artifacts, taking part in an actual archeological dig; "cave crawl" Masorti Youth Village of Neve Hana in Kiryat Gat Continue to Tel Aviv - Track C: Tel Aviv - The First Hebrew City. Travel to the Tel Aviv area. At Weitzman's home, pay tribute to this singular leader. Walk though the historic Neve Tzedek neighborhood, a UNESCO Heritage site. Palmach Museum OR Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British at the Ayalon Institute. Track A: The Upper Galilee and Golan. Tzefat: Rosh Pina, one of the earliest settlements in modern Israel. Ascend the Golan Heights, Track B: The Negev. Ben Gurion's Hut in Sde Boker, Beautiful nature reserve at the Ein Avdat Oasis. Mitzpeh Ramon to gaze into the Ramon Crater, desert archery activity at the Ramon Crater. Track C: The Upper Galilee. Turkish Baths Rosh Hanikra, at Israel's border with Lebanon Haifa Bay and the Bahai Gardens, Everybody Return to Tel Aviv for dinner at Yitzhak Hagadol Yemenite Restaurant (included in package) or cultural program (latter based on availability) Optional: Children have a pizza party supper at the hotel (chaperoned by a few adults) while parents rest; option of babysitters hired to circulate among or sit in hotel rooms with children during parents' dinner (not included in tour price)

Track A: Tel Aviv in Action - Walk though the historic Neve Tzedek neighborhood, a UNESCO Heritage site. At Rabin Square, where Yitzhak Rabin z"l was assassinated, discuss this great leader and some of the pressing issues facing Israel today. Drive through Tel Aviv University and visit the Cimbalista Synagogue. Browse through unique craft items in Nachalat Binyamin's colorful, open-air market, and see modern Tel Aviv in action. Track B: Tikun Olam "Table to Table," participating in the important mitzvah of leket - "Dialogue in the Dark," Track C: Footloose in Tel Aviv (free time to meander and enjoy) Sheinken Street, the Greenwich Village of Tel Aviv. Nachalat Binyamin, Carmel Market Tel Aviv's art museums and galleries Everybody. Return to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat.
