| Sunday, July 13 - In the Footsteps of Sages
|
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Travel north along Israel's
newest highway, with a view of the Security Fence along the
way. Enjoy a panoramic bus tour of upper Haifa, with spectac-
ular views including the Bahai Gardens. Explore the magnifi-
cently excavated ancient city of Tzippori, home to Rabbi
Judah the Prince. Take the cable car to the mesmerizing
ocean grottos of Rosh Hanikra, at Israel's border with
Lebanon. Enjoy a Kinneret boat ride and dinner at Decks
(steak)

| Monday, July 14 - In the Footsteps of Mystics and Pioneers
|
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Tour the synagogues, court-
yards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat; optional fam-
ily crafts activity (weaving, beading, paper-making, pottery)
available in Tzefat's artist colony. Travel to the Golan Heights
by jeep, off the beaten track, and stop to gaze down over
the Galilee as the Syrians once did. At Kibbutz El Rom, see
original footage from the brave Valley of Tears Kahalani bat-
tle, which secured the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur
War. Free evening on the Tiberias boardwalk

| Tuesday, July 15 - The Mediterranean Coast

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. In historic Acco, visit the new
exhibit about the years of Muslim rule of the city at the
adjacent Turkish Baths and the amazing Tunisian Synagogue,
which is completely decorated with mosaics depicting stories
from Jewish history and traditional texts. Walk through the
fascinating, underground Roman water system that once fed
ancient Caesaria at Alona Park near Binyamina (strap-on water
shoes, small towel needed) See ancient history come to life at
the newly-opened multi-media center against the backdrop of
ancient Caesaria. Excavations include an impressive amphithe-
atre and aqueduct. Hotel check-in. Delicious Yemenite dinner
at Maganda

leries, and market stalls of Old Jaffa, once the gateway to

on site. At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving dec-
laration of the State. Enjoy an impressive presentation of the
amazing achievements of the Palmach at the recently opened
multi-media Palmach Museum (if available)

Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet
factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British at
the Ayalon Institute. At the "Dig for a Day" program at Beit
Guvrin, uncover actual artifacts as you participate in an ongo-
ing archeological dig. Spelunking (cave crawling) also available
for the adventurous. At the Masorti Youth Village of Neve
Hana in Kiryat Gat, see the tremendously heartwarming work
carried out there with children who have no other home
Return to Jerusalem for a free evening

Masada by cable car. Tour this impressive excavation and dis-

a walk through the beautiful Ein Gedi nature reserve and
