Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized
walk through the Beit Hamikdash at the Davidson Center
Travel through many centuries in a guided visit of the Jewish Quarter,
including excavations of the homes of ancient Temple priests at the
Herodian Mansions. Explore the historical Nahlaot neighborhood with
your guide. Visit the colorful, bustling Machaneh Yehuda open-air market,
as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat and to buy food for Shabbat
lunch and snacks; enjoy lunch there as well (on one's own)

by dinner at the Pagoda Chinese restaurant in Tiberias

the famous "tanur shel achnai" story from the Talmud, followed by an
enjoyable follow-up discussion about democracy and Jewish law
Free time for lunch in Katzrin - Travel by jeep "off the beaten track" to
the Golan Heights and gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once
did. Walk through the Syrian bunkers and learn how master spy Eli
Cohen revealed their secrets. Enjoy a delicious lakeshore dinner at
Decks Restaurant. Evening: Kabbalah orientation with Rabbi Plotkin

Visit the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of
Tzefat. Stop at the Naot Factory to purchase those famous Israeli sandals.
Glide down Jordan River tributaries in a kayak
Ascend Mount Arbel by donkey and then take in a wonderful view of the
Kinneret area Enjoy klezmer music over dinner at the Bar-El Restaurant
in Tzefat.

|
Visit the grave of the Rambam in Tiberias. Begin traveling south
Enjoy a fanciful film about plans to renovate an ancient synagogue, and
examine Beit Alpha's striking mosaic floor. Tour the remarkable excavation
of the ancient Roman city of Beit Shean, including a magnificent
Cardo, many residences, amphitheatre, etc. Stop in modern Beit Shean
for lunch and to buy food and snacks for Shabbat on the way
Continue south for the ascent to Jerusalem. Hotel check-in and prepare
for Shabbat. Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel or at a choice of local synagogues.
Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

Gurion's moving declaration of the State. Free time for lunch at the
Azrielli Mall. Enjoy an extremely impressive presentation of the amazing
achievements of the Palmach at the new multi-media Palmach Museum (if
available) Group dinner at China Lee Restaurant
