Early departure for the ascent by cable car to Masada. Tour

| THURSDAY, 24 July - Ancient Roots

the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive
foundation stones. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations
and take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the Temple
Mount at the Davidson Center. At Archeological Seminar's
"Dig for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, uncover actual artifacts
as you participate in an ongoing archeological dig. "Cave
crawl" also available for the adventurous
Free time for supper (on one's own)
Evening: Tour the Israel Museum including the new Shrine of
the Book; the children's wing; and the newly reopened
Holyland Model.

Depart for Israel's north, traveling along Israel's border
with Jordan. Tour the remarkable excavation of the ancient
Roman city of Beit Shean, including a magnificent Cardo,
many residences, amphitheatre, etc. Swim in the wondrous
natural pools at Sachne, fed by underground springs
Continue north, stopping for an introduction to the Galilee
Region at the picturesque Kinneret Cemetery; read the moving
poetry of the pioneer, Rachel the Poetess, and sing the
songs of Naomi Shemer, first lady of Israeli song, at their

| MONDAY, 28 July - In the Footsteps of Sages and Mystics
|
Explore the magnificently excavated ancient city of Tzippori,
home to Rabbi Judah the Prince; enjoy a family "Site

Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and alleyways of the mystical
city of Tzefat. Free time for lunch (on one's own) and
shopping in Tzefat. Dinner at the lovely Dubrovin Farm
Restaurant (gourmet, steak), located in a historic pioneer
village.

| TUESDAY, 29 July - The Golan Heights and the Galilee
|
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Travel through the Golan
Heights by jeep, off the beaten track, and stop to gaze
down over the Galilee as the Syrians once did. Ascend to
the peak of Har Bental, where you can enter army bunkers
and take in a panoramic view at the crossroads of three
countries. Taste the fruits of the region in the form of
award-winning wines at the Golan Winery
Group may split: Glide down the Jordan River in a raft OR
Enjoy additional Galilee touring, off the beaten path, with
your guide. Enjoy a Lake Kinneret boat ride followed by a
lakeside dinner at the Chinese Pagoda
