Friday, 14 November - When You Come Into the Land (Deut 26:1)
Morning arrival at Ben Gurion Airport to be met by your ITC representative. Tour Old Jaffa, where many early immigrants began their lives in Israel, including browsing through the colorful outdoor mideastern market, shuk hapishpishim, Walk through modern Tel Aviv, including the colorful, open-air Nachalat Binyamin market Hotel check-in to rest, prepare for Shabbat, Kabbalat Shabbat on the beach with Rabbi Jaffe. Shabbat dinner at the hotel

Shabbat, 15 November - Shabbat in Tel Aviv - Parashat Vayera
Shabbat services at a local synagogue - Spend the day and evening at leisure enjoying Shabbat in Tel Aviv, including (free) Israeli dancing on the beach. Optional: Shabbat walking tour to a Tel Aviv art museum, with tickets purchased before Shabbat. Shabbat lunch at the hotel. Evening cultural program, based on availability (music, dance; not included in tour price)

Sunday, 16 November - Foundations of the Modern State
At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving declaration of the State. Enjoy an impressive presentation of the amazing achievements of the Palmach at the recently opened multi-media Palmach Museum (if available) At the "Dig for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, have a handson experience of archeology as you uncover actual artifacts while taking part in an actual archeological dig; "cave crawl" also available for the adventurous. Enjoy a delicious Yemenite dinner at Maganda

Monday, 17 November - Layers of History - Depart for Israel's north.
Visit with Doug Gross at his army base in Netanya (if available) OR Take a panoramic bus tour of Haifa, including views of the Bahai Gardens. Visit the wonderful excavations of ancient Caesaria, including an impressive amphitheatre and aqueduct and the newly-opened multimedia center, where ancient history comes to life. Meet members of Israel's Druze community in Ossafiya, hear about their fierce patriotism, and enjoy their warm hospitality for lunch. Hotel check-in and dinner; possibility of speaker at the hotel.

Tuesday, 18 November - Tzefat and the Golan Heights
Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat. Free time for shopping in Tzefat. Travel through the Golan Heights and stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once did. Group may split: Taste the fruits of the region in the form of award-winning wines at the Golan Winery OR Travel back in time as you visit the excavated Talmudic Village in Katzrin Enjoy a delicious lakeshore dinner at Decks (steak)

Wednesday, 19 November - The Jordan River Valley and Masada
Early departure to travel south along Israel's border with Jordan Visit the excavation of Kumran, home of the mysterious ancient sect that authored the Dead Sea scrolls (arrival time in the area permitting) Ascend Masada by cable car. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. Hotel check-in to enjoy its spa facilities and the amazing Dead Sea. Dinner at the hotel.

Thursday, 20 November - Jerusalem of Old
Depart hotel for the ascent to Jerusalem. In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive foundation stones Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the Temple Mount at the Davidson Center Visit the new Shrine of the Book and the newly reopened Second Temple Model of Jerusalem at the Israel Museum Hotel check-in, followed by a free evening on Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall.

Friday, 21 November - Those Who Sacrificed
Visit the new state-of-the art Memorial Museum and the Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem. Visit the multi-media Herzl Exhibit, where the Father of Modern Zionism and his untiring quest are "brought to life" before your eyes. Visit colorful, bustling Machaneh Yehuda openair market, as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat. Prepare for Shabbat. Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel OR a choice of nearby synagogues. Festive Shabbat dinner and possibility of speaker at the hotel

Shabbat, 22 November - Shabbat in Jerusalem - Parashat Hayei Sarah.
Shabbat services at a synagogue of your choice (suggestions, walking instructions to be provided) Shabbat lunch at the hotel. Shabbat afternoon walking tour through the four colorful quarters of the Old City, including the Cardo. Havdalah with Rabbi Jaffe, followed by a farewell dinner at Little Italy Restaurant (dairy) Depart for the airport [B, L]

Visit the Israeli Knesset for a focus on Israel's political system. Tour the architectural wonder of the Supreme Court building and focus on Israel's justice system. Transfer to Tel Aviv for flight to Eilat - King Solomon Hotel Free evening on Eilat's bustling boardwalk.

Monday, 24 November - The Wonders of Petra
Early departure for Petra to explore the amazing decorated red rock formations of the ancient Nabateans. Enter Jordan at the Arava crossing and travel to the Red Rose City by bus (approx. 2.5 hours). Tour its treasury, the Roman theatre, and the impressive caves and rock formations of this Nabatean City; buffet lunch included.

Tuesday, 25 November - The Delights of Eilat
Spend the day at leisure sampling the delights of Eilat, including beautiful beaches, your hotel's spa facilities, water-skiing, paddle boats, wind-surfing, banana boats, yacht cruise, snorkeling, a swim with the dolphins, or scuba- and "snuba"-diving to get up close and personal with Red Sea coral and fish (extra charges apply for some of these activities) Optional: Board a luxury touring yacht at the Eilat marina for a leisurely cruise and lunch on the Red Sea. Snorkeling equipment is available for those who would like to get "up close and personal" with the most exquisite coral reefs and tropical fish to be found in the world (not included in tour price) Return to the hotel for final packing.
