Monday, 21 July - When You Come Into The Land (Deut. 26:1)
Morning arrival in Israel (ideally), to be met and assisted by your Ramah-ITC representative at Ben Gurion Airport Walk through the fascinating, underground Roman water system that once fed ancient Caesaria at Mei Kedem near Binyamina (strap-on water shoes, small towel needed) At Bet Shearim explore the caves which used to be the burial tombs of the great rabbis of the Talmud. Transfer to Tiberias. Welcome dinner and Orientation at the hotel.

Tuesday, 22 July - In the Footsteps of Pioneers
Recreate the life of the Halutzim - the pioneers of the Second Aliya (1906-1917) at the Kinneret Courtyard. Travel through the Golan Heights and gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once did; OR for the adventurous, trek through one of the amazing water hikes on the Golan. Glide down the Jordan River in a kayak or raft Enjoy a Kinneret boat ride followed by a lakeside dinner at Decks Steak Restaurant.

Wednesday, 23 July - Our Partners in Israel
Travel north to Acco. Visit the unique Tunisian Synagogue, which is completely decorated with mosaics depicting stories from Jewish history and traditional texts. Other sites in Acco may include the new exhibit about Acco's years of Muslim rule at the Turkish Baths; the beautiful Mosque of Jazzar; or the British prison, where Jewish freedom fighters were incarcerated; and (number of stops depends on time available) Take the cable car to the mesmerizing ocean grottos of Rosh Hanikra, at Israel's border with Lebanon. Spend time with our Israeli peers in Kiryat Ata (programming to be arranged by Partnership 2000) Visit Masorti Kehillat Hakrayot to meet with Rabbi Mauricio Balter and synagogue members; Catered dinner at the synagogue, to be joined by some members. Return to Tiberias.

Thursday, 24 July - From the Mountains to the Valleys
Tzfat: tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of this mystical city Travel south along Israel's border with Jordan. Swim in the wondrous natural pools at Sachne, fed by underground springs (towel needed) Continue south for the ascent to Jerusalem. Take in a breathtaking view of the Old City of Jerusalem from Mount Scopus. Free evening in Jerusalem (restaurant suggestions and assistance with reservations to be provided)

Friday, 25 July - Those Who Sacrificed
Visit the new, state-of-the art Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Children's Memorial at Yad Vashem (age 12 and up only); special Ramah programming for children on site. At Har Herzl Military Cemetery encounter the "silver platter" on which the Jewish people have acquired - and continue to acquire - our state. Visit colorful, bustling Machaneh Yehuda open-air market, as Jerusalem prepares for Shabbat; purchase fixings for tomorrow's seudah shlisheet picnic. Kabbalat Shabbat in the Jewish Quarter and at the Kotel. Shabbat dinner at the hotel

Shabbat, 26 July - Shabbat in Jerusalem - Parashat Mattot
Shabbat Services at a synagogue of your choice (suggestions, walking instructions to be provided) Study session with Rabbi Berkman (with parallel activities for the children) Sumptuous Shabbat lunch buffet at the hotel. Shabbat rest - Shabbat afternoon walking tour in fascinating Jerusalem neighborhoods near the hotel. Seudah shlisheet picnic in the park, followed by havdalah under the stars. Free evening in Jerusalem.

Sunday, 27 July - Israel Underground
At Archeological Seminar's "Dig for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, uncover actual artifacts as you participate in an ongoing archeological dig. "Cave crawl" also available for the adventurous. Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British at the Ayalon Institute. Volunteer at "Table to Table," participating in the important mitzvah of leket - harvesting crops for the poor. Dinner at Little Italy (dairy) in Jerusalem.

Monday, 28 July - Jerusalem in Her Glory
Shaharit services at Robinson's Arch, the "Kotel Masorti" Tour the Southern Wall Excavations and experience a multi-media tour of the ancient Temple at the Davidson Center. Travel through many centuries as you tour the Jewish Quarter. In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Kotel's massive foundation stones OR Go way back in time to King David's Jerusalem in David's City. Free evening in Jerusalem.

Tuesday, 29 July - The Lowest Place on Earth

Wednesday, 30 July - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
Early departure for ascent by cable car to Masada. (Optional: Participate in a moving Bar Mitzvah ceremony in Masada's ancient synagogue); tour this amazing excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Ein Gedi nature reserve and review the biblical story of kings David and Saul "on site" Travel to Tel Aviv for a free evening.

Thursday, 31 July - Foundations of the Modern State
Enjoy an impressive presentation of the amazing achievements of the Palmach at the recently opened multi-media Palmach Museum (if available) At Rabin Square, where Yitzhak Rabin z"l was assassinated, discuss some of the pressing issues facing Israel today. Summary session and evaluations. Free time for final shopping and a Mediterranean swim. Farewell dinner at the Maganda restaurant in the Yemenite Quarter of Tel Aviv. Depart for the airport
