Depart Sacramento on overnight flight to Israel (Delta flight, departing 11:50 am) 
Tuesday, August 5 - When You Come Into the Land
Welcome to Israel! Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport, to be met and assisted by your ITC representative. Proceed to the Judean Desert and experience the desert environment in which the Jewish people were born as a nation. Hotel check-in and welcome dinner.

Wednesday, August 6 - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
Buffet breakfast at the hotel - Early departure to ascend Masada by cable car or by the snake path. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times. "Cave crawl" also available for the adventurous. Ascent to Jerusalem. Gaze upon the Temple Mount from the Tayelet, as did Abraham when he prepared to sacrifice Isaac; take in the breathtaking view - Free evening in Jerusalem

Sunday, August 10 - Jerusalem of Old - Tisha B'Av
Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized "walk" through the Temple Mount at the Davidson Center. In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Western Wall's massive foundation stones. Enjoy free time for lunch (on one's own) and shopping in the Old City. Travel through many centuries in a guided visit to the Jewish Quarter

Monday, August 11 - Modern Jerusalem
Stop at the Knesset Menorah for a Kodak moment and a view of Israel's center of government. Tour the Israel Museum, including the new Shrine of the Book and the newly reopened Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period Visit Yad Sarah, a facility that provides free medical supplies for those in need; assist volunteers there in constructing walkers for patients. Visit the Herzl Exhibit, where the Father of Modern Zionism and his untiring quest are "brought to life" before your eyes (if available) At Har Herzl Military Cemetery encounter the "silver platter" on which the Jewish people have acquired - and continue to acquire - our state. Free time for dinner (on one's own) Evening: Attend an Israeli baseball game (if available, or perhaps tomorrow evening)

Tuesday, August 12 - In the Footsteps of Sages
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Travel north along Israel's newest highway, with a view of the Security Fence along the way Enjoy a panoramic bus tour of upper Haifa, with spectacular views including the Bahai Gardens. Take the cable car to the mesmerizing ocean grottos of Rosh Hanikra, at Israel's border with Lebanon. Explore the magnificently excavated ancient city of Tzippori, home to Rabbi Judah the Prince Enjoy a Kinneret boat ride and dinner at Decks (steak)

Wednesday, August 13 - In the Footsteps of Mystics and Pioneers
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat; optional family crafts activity (weaving, beading, paper-making, pottery) available in Tzefat's artist colony. Travel to the Golan Heights by jeep, off the beaten track, and stop to gaze down over the Galilee as the Syrians once did.
