Morning arrival in Israel to be met and assisted by your ITC representative at Ben Gurion Airport. Depart for Israel's
north. See ancient history come to life at the newly-opened multi-media center against the backdrop of ancient
Caesaria. Excavations include an impressive amphitheater and aqueduct. Meet members of Israel's Druze community in
Dalyat al Karmel, hear about their fierce patriotism, and enjoy their warm hospitality. Hotel check-in - Welcome dinner

| Friday, 13 February - Acco: City of Many Religions

In historic Acco, visit the new exhibit about the years of Muslim rule of the city at the adjacent Turkish Baths, the
British prison, where Jewish freedom fighters were incarcerated; the amazing Tunisian Synagogue, which is completely
decorated with mosaics depicting stories from Jewish history and traditional texts; the beautiful Mosque of Jazzar
(number of stops depends on time available) Kabbalat Shabbat with (Reform) Congregation Or Hadash, including special
welcome by Rabbi Edgar Nof. Catered Shabbat Dinner at Or Hadash, together with some synagogue members -

| Sunday, 15 February - In the Footsteps of Mystics and Pioneers
|
Tour the synagogues, courtyards, and shops of the mystical city of Tzefat. Visit the studio of a kabalistic artist in
Tzefat and learn about Jewish mysticism through the prism of art. Travel to the Golan Heights and gaze down over the
Galilee, as the Syrians once did. Enter former Syrian bunkers and learn how master spy Eli Cohen revealed their
secrets. Travel south along Israel's newest highway, with a view of the Security Fence. Ascent to Jerusalem. Gaze upon
the Temple Mount from the Tayelet, as did Abraham when he prepared to sacrifice Isaac; take in the breathtaking view
and take part in a joyous shofar-blowing ceremony. Dinner at Little Italy Restaurant -

| Monday, 16 February - Jerusalem of Old
|
Visit the Kotel (Western Wall) In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the
Western Wall's massive foundation stones. Explore the Southern Wall Excavations and take a virtual, computerized
"walk" through the Jerusalem Temple at the Davidson Center. Enjoy a rooftop overview of the four quarters of the Old
City of Jerusalem. Free time for lunch (on one's own) and shopping in the Jewish Quarter. Travel through many centuries
in a guided tour of the Jewish Quarter. Optional: Spectacular cultural evening in Jerusalem, based on availability
(not included in tour price); pizza/falafel supper out on the town for youth, to be accompanied by counselor/s (not
included in tour price)

| Tuesday, 17 February - The Modern Hebrew City
|
Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British
at the Ayalon Institute. At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion's moving declaration of the State. Browse through
unique craft items in Nachalat Binyamin's colorful, open-air market, and see modern Tel Aviv in action. Enjoy an impressive
presentation of the amazing achievements of the Palmach at the new multi-media Palmach Museum. Dinner at
Maganda Yemenite Restaurant (Yemenite) in Tel Aviv.

| Wednesday, 18 February - Digging Israel
|
Plant a tree in Israeli soil in honor or in memory of a loved one. At the "Dig
for a Day" program at Beit Guvrin, uncover actual artifacts as you participate in an ongoing archeological dig. "Cave
crawl" also available for the adventurous. Visit the Israel Museum including the new Shrine of the Book; the newly
reopened Model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period; the children's wing (optional). Visit Yad Sarah, a facility
that provides free medical supplies for those in need; assist volunteers there in constructing walkers for patients. Free
evening in Jerusalem.

| Thursday, 19 February - Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?

Depart for the Dead Sea Region. Ascend Masada by cable car to take part in a moving Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony in
Masada's ancient synagogue or beit midrash. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by
its Jewish population during Roman times. Stop for a dip in the amazing Dead Sea. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful
Ein Gedi nature reserve and review the biblical story of kings David and Saul that took place there "on site" (time permitting)
Free evening in Jerusalem.
